Fluke 287 Firmware update version 1.16
To upgrade your 287 to the latest firmware, follow these simple instructions:
1. Right click on the link and 'save target as' to your desktop
2. Ensure your Fluke 287 is connected to your computer using your Fluke USB-IR serial cable and run the file.

Once you have received your cable you will need to return to download the firmware. Or save yourself some time and bookmark this page today to download firmware when you get it.
Click on the appropriate link above based on if you purchasedhttp://www.fluke.com/fluke/usen/support/software/DMMUpgrade.htm a 287 or 289 meter. To get the new features you will need to register your product and then you will be provided with update instructions.
The first firmware upgrade (Version 1.1) is now available for the 287 and 289 multimeters. These upgrades keep your meter on the cutting edge of technology and increase the functionality of your meter.
To check the meters current firmware version press the softkey labeled Setup (F4), move the menu selector next to the menu item labeled Meter Info, and press F1 to open the Meter Info screen. The meters current firmware will be displayed with other Meter related information.
To upgrade your 287 or 289 you will need a Fluke USB-IR cable - if you purchased a Fluke 287/FVF or Fluke 289/FVF Combo Kit this cable was included as standard.
This upgrade includes these new or expanded capabilities:
Corrected an issue where recording sessions could be interrupted or terminated when using the record function in combination with ambient conditions of bright sunlight or other sources of bright light, when used without the IR cable attached.
Zoom on trend provide unprecedented ability to view analyz TrendCapture data; see detail at X5 magnification.
Rotary switch memory when switching positions between AC or DC A/mA and uA.
Adjustable recording and auto hold thresholds, specify a percentage change in the readings that begins a new event.
Logging function with expanded memory for unattended monitoring of signals over time. Using on-board TrendCapture users can graphically review logged readings without needing a PC. Store up to 15,000 recorded events.
Simplified Record screen when setting up recording.
New and improved Trend View graph plot. This new plot algorithm plots the minimum, maximum, and sample point for each sample interval record and event record.
Allows 5,000 to 15,000 recorded events for each recording session (events are different than sample intervals).
Improves the speed of plotting the trend graph in Trend View.
Added fast scrolling through trend data. Useful when viewing trends with large number of events and interval samples.
Resolution of plotting on x-axis can now go down to 1/100th of a second.
Improved algorithm for generation of Y axis labels.
Meter Information screen reports recording memory available.
Save Names can be changed using FlukeView Forms.
Added Restart softkey in Min/Max and Peak Min/Max.
Sticky dB+REL now works for dB+Hz.
Shortened time needed to upload recorded data into FlukeView Forms.
Settings of Duration and Sample Interval in Recording setup screen is remembered through power off.
Last used Saved Name is remember through power off.
Updated information appears when the Info button is pressed.
Reduced time needed for calibration.
