

	    Field Adjustment Software for Tektronix Oscilloscopes
		  TDS784C/TDS754C/TDS724C/TDS540C/TDS520C


	Installing the Program
	----------------------
	To ensure that this software will correctly adjust the above
	oscilloscopes, it must be installed using the command "install".

	CHANGE TO THE DRIVE containing the TDS Field Adjust floppy, and
	run "install".  For example, type:
		a:
		install

	You will be prompted for the letter designation of the hard drive
	on which the TDS Adjustment software will be placed.  You will
	also be prompted for information about your GPIB card type, DMA
	number, interrupt number, and switch setting.  You must input
	this information to assure that your TDS Adjustment software is
	correctly installed.  For a PCIIA card set to its default base
	address (02E1), enter a switch setting of "0" (zero).


	Program Configuration
	---------------------
	This software procedure is used to adjust the above Tektronix
	oscilloscopes and is made up of two program files and associated
	system and help files.

	The ADJ700C.BAT file sets up environment variables suitable
	for this procedure and starts the .EXE adjustment program.
	The .EXE file does the actual adjustment of the oscilloscope,
	but is not meant to be run by itself.


	How To Run the Program
	----------------------
	To run this adjustment software, at the DOS prompt type:
		CD  \TDS700C.ADJ
		ADJ700C

	If you get the message: "Out of environment space", you must
	edit your config.sys file, so it contains a line similar to:
		SHELL=C:\DOS\command.com /e 1024 /p

	Refer to COMMAND and SHELL in your DOS reference manual for more
	information.
